Occupiers tell children that Ukraine never existed – Lubinets

The Russians are trying to destroy the Ukrainian identity of children in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

In the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by the Russians, the occupiers used only their own educational program and imposed on children information that Ukraine, or the Ukrainian language, or the ethnic group did not exist. Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets spoke about this on Friday, September 8, at the Media Center of Ukraine.

“The first lesson is always history, where from the very beginning they began to say that Ukraine does not exist, the Ukrainian language does not exist, the Ukrainian ethnic group does not exist. You, children, need to understand that always you became Russian, your native language is Russian. Therefore, this So, let’s be happy that you will finally recognize yourself as Russians,” said Dmitry Lubinets.

At the same time, he noted that children are recruited in large numbers to carry out propaganda campaigns and are forced to “enjoy” Russia’s “humanitarian aid”.

“For example, they bring textbooks to Russia – children should greet them with Russian flags and tell the camera how happy they are with the so-called humanitarian caravans,” said Lubinets.

It was previously reported that textbooks were published for students in the Russian Federation to justify the war in Ukraine.
