The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman al-Saud, where he discussed the issues of cooperation between the countries and strengthening dialogue . It was noted that the heads of state discussed current issues of relations between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a continuation of the dialogue that began at a bilateral meeting in Jeddah on May 19.
“Vladimir Zelensky expressed gratitude to Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman al Saud for his continued support in all peace efforts,” the publication said.
The Ukrainian president also pointed to the successful holding in Saudi Arabia on August 5 of the second meeting of national security advisers and political directors of the world’s foreign affairs agencies on the main principles of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
As you know, on August 5-6, in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a meeting of advisers to the heads of state in the World Formula was held with the participation of 42 countries, including the USA, China, India and Brazil . Russia was not invited to the summit.
Therefore, Moscow was very offended and said that “without the participation of Russia and taking into account its interests, no meetings on the topic of the crisis in Ukraine have the slightest additional value.”
