The Danish Prime Minister stressed that many believed that war would never return to Europe, but this turned out to be a mistake.
The war in Ukraine can stop even now: for this, Russia needs to withdraw its troops. And Denmark is ready to be with Ukraine “as long as necessary.” Danish Prime Minister Matte Frederiksen said this in his speech to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reports Ukrinform.
The Danish Prime Minister stressed that many believed that war would never return to Europe, but this turned out to be a mistake.
“They don’t understand Russia. I say: it’s enough to be naive. This war can stop now, you just need Russia to withdraw its troops, and this horror will end,” said Frederiksen.
At the same time, Matte Frederiksen assured that Denmark will support Ukraine in victory and will be there “as long as necessary.”
“We will be a strong partner for the development of peace in Ukraine. And we will support your efforts to build relations with countries around the world, with countries that understand that this senseless war must end; in countries that agree that it prevails on the principle of sovereignty, that aggression must not be tolerated, that peace must be restored on your terms,” he insisted.
It will be remembered, the Prime Minister of Denmark came on a visit to Kyiv.
