From time to time the Russians achieved minor advances. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, reports that the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s offensive.
The Russians plan to go on the offensive in the direction of Kupyansko-Limansky and use air assault brigades there. This was announced on Monday, September 5, by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar on the air of the telethon.
Malyar said that the Ukrainian defenders were preparing to repel the enemy.
“To do this, the command analyzes the situation, calculates the actions of the invaders. All this work is done to prevent the enemy from going through either the Kupyansky or the Limansky direction,” he said.
The deputy minister noted that the Russians are completing the reserves for the offensive on this front from the restored troops, and are also augmenting the army with units brought from Belarus.
“A part of the Russian troops are being returned – they will replace those who have been depleted in condition. Some of the troops they are bringing from the Russian Federation are newly formed units. There is also a statement by Naev that the Russians have taken their troops from Belarus and they have accumulated where they are preparing reserves for attacks in the direction of Kupyansk and Limansk,” said Malyar.
He added that the enemy plans to use professional air assault brigades in this direction.
Recall that the Ukrainian military had success in the direction of Novodanilovka and Novoprokopovka, Zaporozhye region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been adjusted to the achieved levels.
Recall that in the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the offensive of Russian troops in three directions – Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Zaporozhye.
