Romanian authorities have taken a break to fully investigate the situation and draw conclusions, the minister said.
Ukraine has photographic evidence of the downing of a Russian Shahed-type drone on Romanian territory during a mass attack in the Odessa region on the night of September 4. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in a conversation with journalist in Kyiv on Monday.
“I think that specifically in this case they (the Romanian authorities, – ed.) is now studying all aspects of what happened. It is futile to deny that anything fell there. We say authoritatively, with evidence, that these are Shahed drones. We have photographic evidence that someone fell there,” the minister said.
He believes that “there are tendencies to try not to exaggerate the interpretation of certain events on the part of partners, so as not to get involved in a direct conflict.” At the same time, it is quite clear in Ukraine what happened in Romania.
“We have photographic evidence. We are ready to share it, but the final conclusions will be made by the Romanian authorities, who then must not only draw conclusions, but also say what they will do with it. It is easier to make conclusions than to do something with them later Therefore, it is an extremely cautious reaction,” concluded the head of the Foreign Ministry.
It will be remembered that tonight Russia attacked the south and east of Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 drones. A total of 32 drones were released. Air defense forces were able to shoot down 23 drones. Hits were recorded in the Izmail and Dnieper regions.
Later, the Foreign Ministry said that the Russian “Shaheds” fell and exploded on Romanian territory.
And in Bucharest, they noted that the strike weapons used by Russia did not pose a direct military threat to Romanian territory.
