10 dead in India due to lightning

The storm will continue over parts of Odisha for another four days, forecast meteorologists.

In the eastern Indian state of Odisha, at least 10 people have been killed and three seriously injured in the last 24 hours as a result of lightning strikes during heavy rains. This was reported by Xinhua, citing a representative of the state government on Sunday, September 3.

It is reported that four people died in Khurda district, two in Bolangir, one person each in Angul, Budha, Jagatsinghpur and Dhankanal.

In addition, in Khurda, three people were injured as a result of lightning strikes.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that bad weather will continue in some parts of the state for the next four days.

It will be remembered that since June in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, almost 350 people have died as a result of landslides and flash floods caused by heavy rains.
