We are talking about bills on the continuation of electronic declarations, amendments to the law on national minorities and the law on politically exposed persons.
President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the Verkhovna Rada to urgently adopt several laws necessary for future EU accession. The head of state said this in his evening speech on Sunday, September 3.
He emphasized that Ukraine has seven specific recommendations of the European Commission, some of which have already been implemented. To fulfill the other part – the adoption of a number of bills – the effective work of the Verkhovna Rada is necessary.
The President noted that voting on laws for EU accession will be of key importance.
“The law on the restoration of electronic declarations, changes in the law on national minorities and, especially, I will pay attention to it,” the law on PEPs “- politically exposed people, people of political importance. Each of these laws is of fundamental importance. And voting on them will have fundamental value. People will see who is worth it,” Zelensky said.
He urged the people’s representatives not to postpone the vote.
Earlier, the government acknowledged that Ukraine this year will not fulfill all the recommendations for joining the EU.
