The Air Force was alerted to the attack and had time to redeploy. Therefore, the conquerors failed to complete their tasks and gain complete dominance in the sky.

In the first days of a massive invasion, the Russian invaders failed to gain complete dominance of the skies thanks to the advance preparation of the Air Force. Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this in an interview with the film Downed Pilots of Russia.

“They actually hit about 20% of the things from the whole list that they wanted. It prevented complete air dominance. And the fact that they failed to destroy most of the air defense systems negated- by virtue of their dominance in aircraft classes and the number of aircraft” – said Budanov.

He said the Air Force was warned about the attack and had time to redeploy. As a result, the result did not achieve the tasks set for the aerospace forces of the Russian Federation.

Also in the film Downed Pilots of Russia, which was shown on September 3 on the telethon air, for the first time there was a video of a special operation of the GUR called Sinitsa, where the Russian helicopter was hijacked.
