The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russia’s war against Ukraine may end faster than predicted, but under certain conditions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the war can end in 2023. According to him, it will be influenced by the victories on the front, the help of the allies. On Thursday, August 31, he said in an interview with the Portuguese TV channel RTP.
“If we have an advance on the battlefield, we will force them and completely destroy their morale, then we may not fully imagine what will happen. The example of Kherson showed how they got 40 thousand people. They ran fast, quickly abandoned equipment,” said the president.
He noted that the help of allies and the promotion of the Ukrainian Formula of Peace are very important.
At the same time, the president did not rule out that the war could be prolonged. In his opinion, this can happen if the energy system of Ukraine is subject to attacks.
“Maybe next year too: slowdown on the front, blackout in Ukraine. Each of these things kills the possibility of a political settlement of the war. With winter approaching again, Russia can do it, and such steps can change the situation. Then the Russian Federation is in the process of receiving different answers from Ukraine,” the president said.
Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy more than 600 occupants per day.
