In the Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation, a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the FSB crashed. All the people on board died, TASS news agency reported on Tuesday, August 29.
“Near the village of Prudny, a helicopter, which used to belong to the FSB of the Russian Federation, fell into the forest. Only the crew was on board, he died,” said the interlocutor of the agency in the emergency services.
Aviation services reported that four people died as a result of the helicopter crash.
“There were four people on board the Mi-8, they died. The helicopter was on a training flight,” the source said.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
In this regard, the Shot Telegram channel claimed that the cause of the helicopter crash, according to preliminary data, was an engine failure.
Recall that in August, a Su-30 fighter crashed in the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. The crew died. The cause of the crash was a technical malfunction of the Russian aircraft.
And in July, a MiG-31 fighter crashed in Russia’s Kamchatka Territory. He fell into the waters of Avacha Bay.
