The enemy attacked with Kh-101/Kh-55/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles fired by five strategic aviation aircraft. The launch was carried out from Russian airspace in the Engels area. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
In total, the military recorded eight targets, and managed to destroy four cruise missiles. Enemy targets were shot down in the central and northern regions. The rest of the air targets were probably erroneous, as there was no information about the hit.
The spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Natalya Gumenyuk, said that during the latest missile attack, the Ukrainian military observed a very complex pattern of maneuvers. Probably, the enemy was looking for options for laying safe routes for future attacks.
Recall that on the night of August 25, the Russian army for the first time launched Caliber cruise missiles in Ukraine from the Sea of Azov. The Armed Forces of Ukraine believe that the enemy is using a new tactic of shelling Ukrainian cities.
