Out of a total of 130 thousand personnel, there were more than 60 suspected former police officers for collaborating with the enemy.
The National Police expelled all employees who did not arrive on time from the occupied territories to some deployment areas in the controlled part of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko in an interview with Ukrainian News.
“Now a small number of former police officers remain in the occupied territories. I myself have signed an order requiring, according to the operational and military situation, to arrive at a certain time in the areas of deployment. For example, workers from Melitopol and Berdyansk have to arrive in Zaporozhye. The same applies to Kherson, Luhansk districts or Kharkiv region. Those who have not yet arrived at their deployment areas on time have been removed all to the National Police. We didn’t pay them a salary and so on, “he said.
Klymenko said there were traitors among those dismissed.
“Among them, and it must be acknowledged, there are people who go on the side of the enemy and work not only with the local police, but with the occupation authorities of a particular region. Is this a large number? Count for your itself: out of a total of 130,000 staff, we now have more than 60 suspected former police officers for collaborating with the enemy. The internal security of the National Police is working on this issue and is monitoring such workers. At the same time, I would like to say that some of the workers who did not come out wrote reports that for objective reasons they could not leave this territory. It were relatives who were sick, for health reasons, and others, “said the head of the National Police.
According to him, despite the reports, they were still removed.
“They are still removed, because they are in the territory. It is a great danger. And, of course, there is a high probability that, being in the status of a policeman, it will be used, along with the propaganda machine. Of our enemy,” he said. Klimenko.
It will be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke about traitors in the police ranks.
