Active combat takes place at the front. In the past 24 hours alone, more than 40 battles have taken place, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning summary on Sunday, August 27.

It is indicated that yesterday the Russians unsuccessfully attacked in the directions of Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky. The enemy made five missiles and 45 air strikes, carried out 67 attacks from MLRS on the positions of our troops and settlements. Unfortunately, there were dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings, schools and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

In turn, the Defense Forces continued their offensive in the direction of Melitopol. Our troops are entrenched in the achieved lines and engaged in counter-battery combat.

Aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered two strikes on command posts, 10 strikes on personnel concentration areas, and two strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
