Briton Daniel Dubois claimed the Ukrainian belt. From the beginning of the fight, the two boxers behaved atypically – many moved around the ring and tried to react to each other’s every attack. The Ukrainian was the first number in the ring, but the Briton tried to counterattack from time to time. And in the fifth round he played very dirty – he hit below the belt. Usyk had to take a forced respite.
However, this only inflamed the Ukrainian, who answered Duub with a series of blows and almost put him in the ring. In the eighth round, he found himself on the floor for the first time. The challenger fell to his knee after several missed blows.
The Briton managed to get up and continue the fight, but in the ninth round the champion knocked him out. An accurate blow to the jaw from the right sent Dubois to the floor. He barely got up, but the referee stopped the fight.
As of August 27, 36-year-old Oleksandr Usyk is the IBF, WBA, WBO, IBO world boxing champion and the owner of The Ring magazine belt. The Ukrainian remains invincible in the pro ring. In the professional ring, the Ukrainian had 21 fights and won all of them (14 by knockout).
And the 25-year-old Dubois also spent 21 fights in the profession. He has 19 wins (18 by knockout) and two losses. In 2020, Dubois lost the battle to Joe Joyce.

Recall that in training before the fight with Daniel Dubois, Oleksandr Usyk unfurled the Ukrainian flag with the image of Bakhmut, sang in Ukrainian and danced for the fans. The Ukrainian flag was signed by 11 fighters of the border detachment and other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
