The Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing in the South and getting closer to taking control of the “land corridor in Crimea” under fire control.
The occupying army is on the verge of losing the last strategic positions. This was announced on the evening of Friday, August 25, by Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in Twitter.
“The bottom line: Russia’s defense lines are beginning to crumble. The Ukrainian army is moving south with some success, getting one step closer to bringing the “land corridor to Crimea” under control of fire. The stakes are clear: all Russian lines of support, including railways, are at stake in “ways,” he said.
According to Podolyak, in the near future, the number of calls for negotiations or stopping the supply of weapons, as well as attempts by “third parties” to demoralize Ukrainians, may increase. “Meanwhile… the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to turn themselves around,” Podolyak summed up.
Recall that the Ukrainian troops are likely to have broken the first line of defense of the Russian aggressors in the Zaporozhye region. This was reported by the CNN channel and the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said in an interview with the media.
In the evening report of the General Staff, there was no mention of a breakthrough, but it was reported that the Defense Forces continued offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are fixed on the achieved lines and engaged in counter-battery combat.
