More than 600 local-level deputies from the key parties of Ukraine went to serve in the army. This is reported by the movement “Honestly” with reference to the results of the study as of August.

It is beneficial for Russia to launch a narrative that deputies do not serve, but instead sit in the rear behind the backs of citizens. However, as the study of the Chestno movement shows, a significant part of the deputies of local councils are now at the front and, along with others, defend the sovereignty of our state. It is important that the parties appreciate this contribution and help the public sector to highlight the achievements of colleagues at the front,” said Vita Dumanskaya, leader of Chestno.
The largest percentage of deputies-front-line soldiers at the local level has the “Radical Party” (22 servicemen out of 71 deputies, which is 31% of the total number of deputies of the councils studied), in second place is “Svoboda” (102 out of 402 deputies with mandates in city, regional and district councils, now serve – this is 25.6%), and the third – “European Solidarity” (328, or 13.7% of local deputies at the level of city, regional and district councils serve).
He honestly points out that the European Solidarity has the largest number of deaths. The movement did not receive a response to the appeal from the political party “Ukrainian Strategy of Groysman”. Servant of the People also did not provide data for 2023. In response to a request, the ruling party advised Chestno to change the approach in the calculations and “should use donor funds.”
Golos said they were unable to collect updated data and suggested using data for 2022.
“Honestly” notes that a number of regional and city councils have provided their data on deputies at the front and in the Terrorist Defense Forces – they will be made public in the near future.
