The President emphasized that he will return to Ukraine with new political support and new agreements.
President Volodymyr Zelensky will return home on August 22 after his European visits. The head of state said in a video message that the general result of these days is that Ukraine has become stronger.
“A brief report on our activity these days. Four visits: Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Greece. Ukraine-Balkans summit. Negotiations on the sidelines of the summit with Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Moldova, together with the President of the European Commission,” – said the Ukrainian leader.
According to Zelensky, he will go home with new political support, new agreements.
“Everyone clearly confirms the territorial integrity of Ukraine. There will be planes for Ukraine. There will be additional armored vehicles. We will strengthen the air defense,” the president said.
The President said that in almost all meetings they talk about protecting export routes in the Black Sea and through “corridors of solidarity” by land. There were also talks about the Ukrainian economy, exports, European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
“The general result of these days is that Ukraine has become stronger,” Zelensky stressed.
It will be remembered that over the weekend the president visited the countries of Northern Europe: Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark, where an agreement was reached on the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine after pilot training. The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with 42 aircraft, and Denmark – another 19.
Zelensky then traveled to Greece to meet with Western Balkan leaders. At the summit, the leaders of 11 Southeast European countries signed the Athens Declaration in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
