In 2018, Cutugno was admitted to a hospital in Belgium due to heart problems. Before that, the singer had prostate cancer.

Toto Cutugno is not only known for his hits L’italiano, Solo noi and Serenata, but also as a songwriter. In particular, he wrote 25 songs by Adriano Celentano. And the legendary composition Ciao, bambino, sorry, which was performed by Mireille Mathieu, is also his authorship.

Recall that on July 12, at the age of 94, the Czech-French writer Milan Kundera, the author of the novel The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Immortality, The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, and others, died. He is considered one of the greatest novelists of the 20th century.
