The artist passed away at the age of 80 in a hospital in Milan. After a long illness, the singer became worse in recent months. This was reported on August 22 by the Italian newspaper Ansa, citing his manager Danilo Mancuso.
In 2018, Cutugno was admitted to a hospital in Belgium due to heart problems. Before that, the singer had prostate cancer.
