Both pilots and dozens of technical personnel who learn how to maintain aircraft are trained at the military air base in Skrydstrup.
Denmark has begun training eight Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets. This was reported by Reuters in relation to the Danish armed forces on Tuesday, August 22.
“Eight pilots arrived at the Danish military air base in Skrydstrup together with 65 military personnel to be taught how to operate the aircraft,” the statement said.
It is known that Denmark will provide Ukraine with 19 F-16 fighters and the first six of them by the end of this year. In total, the country now has 43 F-16 aircraft, but for security reasons it is not reported how many of them are operational.
Also the other day, the Netherlands announced that it will provide Ukraine with 42 F-16 fighter jets. They will be issued after training Ukrainian pilots and engineers.
