The counteroffensive required a lot of effort from the Ukrainian defenders, who faced daily resistance from the enemy.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba advised Western analysts to be cautious in their forecasts for Ukraine’s counter-offensive on the front. The head of the diplomatic department stated this in an interview with BILD.
“We calmly accept such statements. According to unnamed officials, generals and analysts, Ukraine should cease to exist for three to ten days in February 2022. Now they suggest that Ukraine cannot return all its territory very quickly. This testifies to the fact that even the doubters have become more hopeful over time,” said Kuleba.
He emphasized that analysts should be more cautious in their forecasts and long-term forecasts.
“What we need are more long-term opportunities to achieve more short-term results. Never underestimate Ukraine. Believe in yourself. Have patience. Winning is hard work,” he stressed.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian military during the counter-offensive was able to achieve “tactically significant” progress on two fronts.
