Todor Tagarev said that despite the fact that the Alliance is trying to prevent escalation, Russia continues to provoke NATO.
The actions of the aggressor country Russia could lead to a clash with NATO in the Black Sea, as the Russian Federation continues to try to expand its zone of control. This is what Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev said, according to the local edition Novinite on Friday, August 18.
“It cannot be denied that there are no clashes between NATO and Russia in the Black Sea, but to prevent escalation, efforts must be made. At the same time, everything depends on what further actions Russia will take. Russia will continue to encouraging NATO. This can be seen, in particular, in the way it expands the zone of control,” said the Bulgarian official.
According to him, the end of the war depends on Ukraine, and the main condition for this is the full restoration of its territorial integrity.
Tagarev also added that he does not take seriously the words of former US President Donald Trump, who says he can stop the war within 24 hours.
As we already wrote, Stian Jenssen said that Ukraine could join NATO in exchange for territories seized by Russia, and called it “an acceptable solution.”
In response, the Foreign Ministry called Ukraine’s talk of joining NATO in exchange for giving up part of its territories completely unacceptable.
