In the Lviv region, law enforcement officials exposed the illegal activities of an official of the regional territorial center for recruitment and social support, who set up a scheme of illegal enrichment by extorting violators in the law benefits from citizens of military age subject to mobilization. It was reported on August 18 to the National Police.
According to the investigation, the 33-year-old officer of the military registration and enlistment office entered false information in the temporary certificates of those liable for military service during their renewal, which made it possible to avoid the draft. The amount of “assistance” is $1,000 per person.
The figurant was immediately detained after receiving a bribe and handed over the documents to the person with the appropriate mark regarding unfitness for mobilization and subsequent service. He also found a notebook with potential “client” and “draft” notes.
A woman is declared suspected of receiving illegal benefits by an official in connection with soliciting illegal benefits (part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He faces imprisonment of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the Security Service caught the chairman of VVK of Zhytomyr region, who was doing business with draft dodgers.
