Deputies propose to abolish Art. 302 of the Criminal Code on the content of places of debauchery and significantly edit Art. 301 “Import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic objects.”
At the same time, legislators decided to leave responsibility for porn without consent (porn content, deep fake), extreme porn (violence, zoo-, necrophilia).
If the bill is passed, the articles of the Criminal Code will not apply to porn videos on OnlyFans, nudes and dikpics in private messages.
At the same time, punishment for porn with children and distribution among children is proposed to be strengthened.
The draft law also defines the concepts of “pornography” and “extreme pornography”.
A petition calling for the legalization of such products in Ukraine was created on July 4, 2022. She collected the necessary 25 thousand signatures, after which President Volodymyr Zelensky forwarded it to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The author of the petition referred to the fact that most developed countries do not have prohibitions on pornographic activities.
For violation of Art. 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine threatens from UAH 17,000 fine up to 7 years behind bars with a three-year ban on holding certain positions.
