The military leadership of Ukraine held an important meeting with the American and British partners.
On Tuesday, August 15, Ukrainian generals held a meeting with British and American colleagues. One of the topics of discussion is the course of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny on Telegram.
According to the general, he, along with the Chief of the General Staff General Sergei Shaptala, Deputy Commander-in-Chief General Mikhail Zabrodsky, Commander of the Navy Admiral Alexei Neyezhpapa, First Deputy Minister of Defense General Alexander Pavlyuk and Chief of the Main Intelligence The Director of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov met with Supreme Commander of NATO Joint Forces in Europe and Commander US Armed Forces in Europe General Christopher Cavoli, Chief of the British Defense Staff Admiral Anthony Radakin and representatives of partner delegations.
The main topic of the talks was military cooperation. Zaluzhny noted that he spoke about the situation at the front and the course of offensive and defensive operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I got acquainted with the plans of the Armed Forces for the near future and in long term. We discussed the possible actions of the enemy,” the commander-in-chief specified.
Zaluzhny also noted that he informed the partners about the main needs of the Ukrainian military – ammunition, weapons, air defense systems, electronic warfare and devices for remote demining.
“Another very important issue is drones. Countering enemy drones and developing our own capabilities. We have agreed with partners to focus work on this area,” he stressed.
The general added that during the meeting, the possibilities of strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine were discussed.
Recall that since the beginning of summer, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been continuing the counteroffensive in several sectors of the front. It became possible to liberate several settlements and destroy a large number of enemy soldiers and equipment.
In particular, today the Ministry of Defense announced that Ukrainian soldiers liberated the village of Urozhainoye in the Donetsk region.
