On the night of August 13, a message appeared about a water supply accident, due to which Kropivnitsky, Znamenka and partially Alexandria were left without water supply.
For the third day, residents of Kropyvnytskyi and a number of settlements remain without water. On Wednesday, August 16, writes Ukrinform.
For the residents of the city, the authorities arranged the water supply. In particular, Dnipro-Kirovograd OKPP posted on Telegram nine current addresses for water supply.
However, as local residents complained, most of the containers from which they were offered to draw water remained empty for a long time, people waited for water delivery in some areas for 4- 6 hours or longer.
The authorities explained the situation by the lack of vehicles.
“First of all, they supplied water to hospitals, kindergartens, and institutions of the social sphere,” officials said.
It is known that on the night of Wednesday, August 16, water began to appear in some areas of Kropyvnytskyi. However, most townspeople do not have water. According to a survey on the CBN Telegram channel at 16.25, 59% of Kropyvnytskyi residents were left without water.
It was noted that water problems arose due to a water supply accident in the Aleksandriysky district.
“The cause of the emergency in the water pipeline near Pantaevka has been established. A gate valve with a diameter of 800 millimeters was destroyed. This gate has served since the beginning of the operation of the water pipeline – since 1973. In the area this time, specialists will change part of the pipe. However, it will take a long time. At the same time, it is time to supply water to consumers.” Kropivnitsky and Znamenka, specialists provide a membrane between the two branches of the water supply system,” reported the water utility.
The authorities have promised consumers without a meter that the cost of water supply services will be transferred.
We add that about 200 thousand consumers of the cities of Znamenka and Kropyvnytskyi and parts of Aleksandriysky district were left without water supply. In total, 400 thousand families in the region are consumers of water from the OKPP Dnepr-Kirovograd enterprise.
It should be remembered that three sections of the water pipeline with a length of 87 kilometers will be built in Ukraine to restore centralized water supply to cities and villages that had a major problem with water supply due to the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station dam.
