To ensure continuous supply, the company has found a Ukrainian supplier from whom the drones can be purchased in large quantities.
Metinvest gave a batch of drones to the main intelligence department: 200 FPV drones and 50 Maviks. This was announced by the company’s press service on Wednesday, August 16.
“The total cost of the equipment is 10 million hryvnias, it was transferred by Metinvest as part of the Steel Front military initiative, founded by Rinat Akhmetov,” the report said.
Metinvest added that in order to ensure continuous supply, they have found a Ukrainian supplier from whom the drones can be purchased in large quantities.
“At this stage, the war is moving to a stage of fighting with drones, and now they are needed more than ever. It is very expensive “consumable” on the front today, so we see drones made in Ukraine: you can buy a lot of them, and they can be used for reconnaissance or surveillance “, and maybe also for attacking moving targets. All kinds of troops to whom we supply these drones praise them very much: you don’t have to learn for a long time to control them, and they are very effective at work,” said Alexander Vodoviz, head of the office of the Metinvest project.
He added that at the moment the company has increased the purchase of drones with thermal imagers: they help fighters at night, and are particularly relevant in autumn and winter, when daylight hours are reduced.
