They are neutralized at night with the help of thermal imagers. Soldiers of the 15th regiment of the National Guard in the Robotino district of the Zaporozhye region installed a thermal imaging camera on a UAV to record Russian mines at night. During the heat during the day, the mines heat up and at night thereafter are clearly visible in the sun. This is discussed in the report of the CNN channel, whose journalists visited the position of the guards.
Ukrainian servicemen admitted that this method is quite effective for detecting mines. The mines themselves are neutralized by specialized charges.
According to one of the National Guardsmen named Alexander, they found up to 53 booby traps in one of the forests. Soldiers call such traps a bouquet – this is when grenades are laid on top of other grenades.
Recall that Kharkiv designers have developed a domestic demining machine, which has already successfully passed certification. The development allows you to effectively neutralize anti-personnel and detect anti-tank mines, and the cost of maintenance, repair and production is relatively low.
