Ukrenergo has repaired almost 80% of the main networks, high-voltage substations have been restored to pre-war levels.
The campaign to repair the Ukrainian energy system continues according to plan: 5 nuclear power units have been repaired, 4 more are under repair, 62% of power units of thermal power plants and 70% of thermal power plants are also debugged, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
“We understand the high probability that the Russians will continue a large-scale attack on the energy system. For nuclear power plants: 5 nuclear units have been repaired, 4 more are under repair. For thermal power plants: 62 % of planned power units have been fixed.
In addition, 32 HPP units have been repaired and are being repaired. Ukrainergo almost 80% repaired backbone networks. High voltage substations have been restored to pre-war levels.
According to Shmygal, a multi-level protection for energy facilities has been developed.
UAH 4.8 billion was also allocated to the regions from the Fund for the Elimination of Consequences of Aggression. The funds will be used to restore residential buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, energy and water supply facilities, and the construction of shelters.
The prime minister added that the government has expanded the program for the exchange of incandescent lamps.
“We are expanding the program for the exchange of incandescent lamps for LEDs, implemented by the Government together with the European Union. Now cultural institutions, social security authorities, condominiums, libraries and museums, organizations of -sports, etc. use it. The goal is to replace 50 million lamps to reduce the load on the energy system “, – said Shmygal.
Please note that the Chairman of the Board Ukrainergo Vladimir Kudritsky at a press conference advised the population to buy “just in case” power generators before the onset of winter.
