The Ukrainian Defense Forces have obviously not yet been able to form a foothold on the left bank of the Dnieper.

Small groups of Ukrainian military are still operating on the left bank of the Dnieper. They are predominantly light infantry in “semi-hard positions”. This is stated in a new report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which refers to messages from Russian Telegram channels, which describes the landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their occupation of positions on the coast, which is temporarily controlled by the occupiers.
It is noted that none of the sources reported that the forces of the Ukrainian army here have heavy equipment or vehicles necessary for offensive operations.
ISW will continue to give a conservative assessment of the situation on the left bank in the Kherson region until it reveals visual confirmation of the permanent presence of Ukraine, analysts say.
And on the eve of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said that “there is no reason for excitement” in connection with the situation on the left bank of the Dnieper. And in order to land and secure there, it is first necessary not only to clear the territory, but also to push back enemy units. And in order to preserve the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they are now conducting a counter-battery fight.
Recall, the American newspaper The New York Times reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced approximately 16-19 km along two main directions of attack in order to reach the Sea of Azov and interrupt communication between Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
