The full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will not end until the end of 2023.

The war could go on for years, at least until a major political and economic crisis breaks out in Russia. And Western countries should prepare for a protracted conflict and continue to help the Ukrainian people and strengthen sanctions against the aggressor country. The Times writes about this with reference to a US Army officer who took part in the training of the Ukrainian military.
According to this source, the Ukrainian counter-offensive began with the hope of a “miracle”, but NATO cannot “wage war on the basis of optimism.” And the problems revealed during the counter-offensive operations led to tension between Ukraine and the allies. They began to make mutual accusations.
The author of the article, Mark Galeotti, writes that the war is dragging on and that is why Ukraine’s allies need to develop long-term plans to support the Ukrainians, “which, perhaps, will finally create the conditions for considering the possibility of peace.”
The Times also writes that most experts from the West agree that there are no preconditions for the end of the war now. In particular, CNA expert Michael Kofman believes that the war in Ukraine will continue until the end of 2023 and possibly until the end of 2024 or 2025.
We will remind, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that Ukraine owns an insufficient number of weapons to change the balance in the war with Russia. The Armed Forces of Ukraine now have more technological weapons than the Russian army, but their number is not enough to win.
