The British Ministry of Defense reported that the 70th and 71st motorized rifle regiments faced particularly intense attrition of personnel and heavy fighting on the front lines. It is likely that the arrival of the VAT units will finally allow parts of these regiments to be withdrawn for rest and recovery.

However, the redeployment is likely to weaken Russian defenses on the eastern bank of the Dnieper, where it is increasingly under pressure from amphibious raids by Ukrainian troops, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
