The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that the number of countries interested in participating in peace talks has increased significantly in recent weeks.
The peace summit held yesterday in Saudi Arabia was a breakthrough for Ukraine. He showed the possibility of uniting the countries in the peace formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This is what Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said, Reuters news agency reports.
“If a country wants to be at the forefront of global politics, it should be a participant in these coordination meetings,” the official insisted.
According to him, the number of countries interested in participating in peace talks has increased significantly in recent weeks. The official added that these events laid a very important basis for future negotiations on the Ukrainian peace initiative.
“I believe that the meeting in Jeddah was an extraordinary success, because for the first time countries representing the whole world, and not only Europe and North America, took part in it,” concluded the Foreign Minister.
It will be recalled that on August 5-6, in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a meeting of advisers to the heads of states on the peace formula was held with the participation of 42 countries, including the United States, China, India and Brazil . . Russia was not invited to the summit.
Moscow was offended by this and declared that “without the participation of Russia and taking into account its interests, no meetings on the Ukrainian crisis have the slightest additional value.”
