This is reported today by the publication PAP.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, ordered to comply with the request of the commander of the Border Service and send additional military units to patrol the Polish-Belarusian border and participate in the Safe Podlachie operation.
Recall that Poland overturns two military brigades from the west to the east of the country. The border began to be strengthened after the mercenaries of the forces of the PKK “Wagner” began to arrive in Belarus. Now 2,000 Polish soldiers are serving there.
On August 1, there was a violation of Polish airspace by two Belarusian helicopters. The Minister of National Defense of Poland convened the Committee on National Security and Defense. In connection with the incident, he ordered an increase in the number of military personnel on the border and the allocation of additional forces and means, including combat helicopters. The incident was reported to NATO. Belarusian helicopters entered Poland at a low altitude, which is why they were not immediately detected.
