The peace formula is the right and currently the only diplomatic way to achieve peace in Ukraine, the President said.
The peace formula proposed by Ukraine can become a universal basis for ending other military conflicts on the planet and overcoming global problems. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with media representatives from Latin American countries, his press service reported on Tuesday, August 8.
According to him, now the right and until now the only diplomatic way to achieve peace is the Peace Formula. It concerns Ukraine, but if some international institutions do not allow such aggressive wars to be justly ended and peace to be achieved, which is clearly proven by the example of Ukraine, then the Peace Formula can be a new universal foundation for applicable solutions.
“Unfortunately, we are not alone, and this is not the last military conflict in the world. And I believe that after this war, such a formula can be the basis for overcoming other global problems,” said the leader of state.
According to Zelensky, individual countries can have their own opinion on some points of the Peace Formula, and this is normal, because any platform is debatable.
“Agree with something, but disagree with something. Offer yourself. And this is the basis of our Peace Formula. The basis must be Ukrainian, because the war is in Ukraine. And the proposals can be in any state, because we value the experience and opinion of each of the countries that really want peace, and not playing with Russia, not playing with the Peace Formula for the sake of future economic relations in Russia. Because this is a game with real people, ” he stressed.
The President mentioned the need to prepare for the Global Peace Summit, and he was interested in having the maximum number of states represented at the event.
“For us to decide politically that this is the right platform, and most countries of the world see this Formula as a basis, a map, steps and a plan to overcome this terrible tragedy,” Zelensky summed up.
As you know, on August 5-6, in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a meeting of advisers to the heads of states on the Peace Formula was held with the participation of 42 countries, including the United States, China, India. and Brazil. Russia was not invited to the summit.
Therefore, Moscow was very offended and declared that “without the participation of Russia and taking into account its interests, no meetings on the topic of the Ukrainian crisis have the slightest additional value.”
