Canadian authorities have imposed personal sanctions against 22 Russian individuals and four companies. Among those allowed Russians were the Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics and the alleged wife of Russian President Vladimir Putin Alina Kabaeva. This was reported on the website of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, May 31.
It was indicated that the sanctions were extended due to the fact that “the actions of the Russian Federation constitute a serious violation of international peace and security, which led to a serious international crisis.”
The penalties implemented were approved on May 27. In addition to Kabaeva, the following individuals are included in the list:

Larisa and Ekaterina Fridman (daughters of oligarch Mikhail Fridman);

Milana Koroleva (blogger, model, TV presenter);

Anatoly Braverman (First Deputy General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund), his wife Inna and son Alexander;

Mikhail Rosseev (Chief Accountant of Gazprom);

Vadim Kulik (Deputy President – Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank);

Natalya Dirks, Maxim Kondratenko, Erkin Norov, Svyatoslav Ostrovsky (VTB board members);

Dmitry Pyanov (CFO of VTB);

Sergey Maltsev (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Globaltrans, former Deputy Chairman of Sberbank);

Kirill Tsarev (first representative of the chairman of Sberbank);

Natalya Alymova (former board member of Sberbank);

Alexandra Buriko (ex-deputy chairman of Sberbank).
Four companies also fell under the sanctions: Management Company of Russian Direct Investment Fund JSC, RVC Management Company LLC, Russian Agricultural Bank JSC, Investtradebank JSC.
