John Oliver’s “Last Sunday Tonight” came out for the holidays, but appeared on YouTube in a web-exclusive clip in which he appears to agree with one of the Republican Party’s worst candidates on an unexpected issue.
The candidate is Taylor Kandy, who lost last week’s election for governor of Georgia, where she ran on the platform of Jesus, Weapons, Babies, and even made the bizarre promise that “the hairy days are over when I the governor. ” . ”
“Honestly, it can always be said,” Oliver said, then invited his audience to experience it for themselves:
“You go into any room and proclaim: ‘The furry days are over when I am governor.’ Do it now and see if you don’t feel the electrical acceleration of power.You didn’t explain! Why should I? After all, you’re the governor – and the fur days are over!
Furries is a community of fans who love anthropomorphic animals, including costume dressing, as well as art like this photo that Oliver shared in his version of the goat:

The segment took a more bizarre direction when Oliver shared the last board of the Taylor platform: the executive ordered the construction of a “satanic cable” and a monument known as the Georgia Guidestones to be demolished.
“This is the last argument of his campaign,” Oliver said. I ask the obvious question: Hey, Candy Taylor, what are you talking about?
It turns out to be more than it realizes. Oliver dives into the Georgia Guidestones and discovers that although Taylor was wrong about the feathers, he may be right that he wanted to lose these stones, even if it was for the wrong reason.
“Here’s where this part is a bit weird,” he promises, when he clarifies something disturbing about the Georgian textbook:
