President Joe Biden on Monday offered more insights into gun control and expressed concern to White House journalists about the lethality of modern weapons.

He then named Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) And Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) as possibly “rational” Republicans seeking a compromise on the bill.
Biden acknowledged that his abilities were limited by the executive order. “I can do what I have done and I will continue any executive action possible. But I can’t ban weapons. I can’t change the background check. “I can’t do that,” he said.
