The traitor “hunted” for the exact coordinates of these objects, and also offered to “hit” them with Russian Kinzhal missiles. The person involved also collected intelligence data on the locations and movements of other units of the Defense Forces in the front-line areas of the southern region.
In addition, he transmitted to the aggressor the geolocation of civilian infrastructure. He faces a life sentence.
In the event of successful completion of the tasks, the Russian special service promised its henchman a monetary “reward”, which the attacker hoped to receive on his own bank card.
But the counterintelligence officers of the SBU thwarted the hostile plans – they caught the defendant in a timely manner, documented the criminal actions and detained him. A gadget red-handed with the FSB was confiscated from an enemy agent.
According to the investigation, the attacker turned out to be a local resident, whom the Russian special service remotely recruited at the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
He came to the attention of the aggressor due to the spread of anti-Ukrainian comments in the pro-Kremlin Telegram channels and calls to launch a missile attack on the military facilities of Nikolaev.
