The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) appealed against the amount of bail for the chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Golovko and two deputy heads of the Ternopil OVA, Igor Demyanchuk and Igor Gayduk.

Also, NABU and SAPO will file a petition to remove the head of the Ternopil Regional Council from office.
The prosecutor does not agree with the amount of the bail determined by the investigator, the judge, and in the court of appeal, given the gravity of the crime, he will insist on the application of a stricter measure of restraint – detention with the alternative of making a bail in the amount of UAH 13 million for the chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council, UAH 10 million – for the first deputy chairman of the Ternopil OVA and UAH 8 million – for another deputy.
Since March 2023, two deputy chairmen of the Ternopil OVA have been relieved of their official duties.
Recall, on June 26, the chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council and two deputies of the chairman of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration were informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
July 3 Golovko returned to work. According to him, he returned to his workplace by court order. Was not removed from duty. When asked by journalists to resign, he replied that there were no grounds for this, because he was not under jurisdiction, but a suspect, these are different things.

Holovka and two deputy chairmen of the OVA are suspected of extorting a bribe from a local businessman – we are talking about about UAH 2 million.
The chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council was given a measure of restraint in the form of detention for 60 days with the right to make bail for 805 thousand UAH.
