In Transcarpathia, a three-year-old girl killed her sister, who was less than a year old, by hitting her on the head with a hammer. Criminal proceedings were closed, and the father was tried for improper performance of parental duties. He was fined 850 hryvnias, reports Zahid.net.
The decision of the Khust district court of the Transcarpathian region states that the incident took place on November 20, 2022 in the house where the family lived. The father does not take care of his children: a three-year-old daughter and her younger sister, who is less than a year old. The older woman hit the younger woman several times on the head with a hammer, resulting in her death.
At the end of May 2023, the investigator of the Khust RUP GU NP in the Transcarpathian region closed the criminal proceedings. A record of improper performance of parental duties is made against the father.
The man has not been brought to administrative or criminal responsibility. In court, he filed an application for recognition of his guilt and consideration of the case in his absence.
The judge found the father guilty of an administrative offense and imposed a fine of 850 hryvnias. In addition, the man also has to pay 536 hryvnia court fees.
Recall that earlier in Lviv, the court fined a young man 51 hryvnias for having sex at a public transport stop. His partner, an 18-year-old woman, received a verbal warning for disorderly conduct.
