The media found out about another exception to EU sanctions for Russia

Russians will not be banned from conducting real estate transactions in European Union countries. Cyprus opposed the ban.

From the latest edition of the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, the European Union has issued a ban for Russians to purchase real estate in European countries. On Monday, May 30, Bloomberg reported.

According to the publication, Berlin took a step due to pressure from the Cypriot authorities, who were definitely against this restriction.

The dispute over the terms of the EU oil embargo has also prompted other member states to seek exceptions to the proposed package.

Recall that in early May, information emerged that Russians who are not EU citizens and do not have a residence permit in EU countries will be banned from conducting real estate transactions in the community.

As reported, on the eve of the EU again failed to agree on a complete embargo on Russia’s oil, despite the fact that it planned to remove the ban on oil supplies through pipelines.
