In the regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson, the elimination of the consequences of the explosion by the Russian aggressors of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station continues, with special attention to the settlements affected by the shallow reservoir. There are already the first results, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Kuleba said on Telegram on Sunday, July 2.
“We are keeping the water situation under control in the districts of Nikopol and Krivoy Rog. The projects that have been implemented all this time are already yielding results. From now on, we are returning the centralized water supply to Pokrov. It is will happen gradually, as required by the technological process. In the coming days, the chlorine content in the water will exceed the average. In a week, the townspeople will get a stable water supply service, ” wrote Kuleba, commenting on the progress of work in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
He noted that in Nikopol the water supply system is working at 30%. Despite the enemy’s shelling, the restoration and modernization of the entire system continues. Within 5 days it is planned to resume the supply of water for the residents of the city.
“There will be water in the taps in the city of Marganets. It will take some time – the water supply is already connected,” said Kuleba.
In Kryvyi Rih, water is supplied hourly, and the construction of the Ingulets-Yuzhnoye main water pipeline continues – a large-scale project that will supply water to two districts.
“It is important that the community is continuously provided with water. Almost 13 thousand tons of water have been delivered to the Dnipropetrovsk region. 270 points have been deployed where people can get it,” added Kuleba.
Work continues on restoring water supply in the Kherson region. He admitted that there is still a tense situation with water supply in Milovskaya community, Novovorontsovskaya community and Berislav.
“The work continues to quickly restore a full water supply in the region. Bottled water is distributed to the people every day – the townspeople have already received about 40 thousand liters. Also, a mobile filter for water purification with a capacity of up to 30 thousand liters per day will be installed in the Berislav region next week” , he stressed.
In Kherson, in the Ostrov microdistrict, the centralized water supply is connected for technical needs.
“In a few days there will be drinkable water in the taps,” said Kuleba.
He noted that in addition to eliminating the consequences of the terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the restoration of water supply in the Donetsk region continues. There, due to continuous shelling, the water supply system is not fully functional.
“Due to the dam of the Karlovsky reservoir that was destroyed in May in the city of Pokrovsk, water is supplied hourly. The continuous supply of water to the people has also been fixed. The restoration of the water supply from the Karlovsky reservoir is planned in the middle of July, ” summarized Kuleba.
It was previously reported that three sections of the water pipeline with a length of 87 kilometers will be built in Ukraine to restore centralized water supply to cities and villages that have serious water supply problems due to the weakening of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station dam. .
The Cabinet of Ministers has already allocated almost UAH 2.5 billion to provide water to the southern regions of Ukraine.
