Changed the reception of passengers from incoming flights. The departure zone operates as usual.
Chisinau Airport on Saturday, July 1, resumed normal operations after the shooting incident that occurred the previous day. This was reported by Newsmaker.
It was noted that the reception of passengers from incoming flights has been changed – people pass through the VIP-lounge and express-lounge which are temporarily not working in this role. The departure zone operates as usual.
After the incident, the flight to Chisinau was canceled by only one airline – Flyone, whose plane was supposed to fly from London to Chisinau.
Subsequently, it was found that the airport was again operating as before, but with an increased presence of law enforcement officers.
It will be remembered that on June 30, at the airport in Chisinau, a man opened fire and took a hostage. Two people died.
Special Forces stopped the shooter. It turned out to be a 43-year-old citizen of Tajikistan who was not admitted to Moldova.
