Ukrainians must be integrated into the world community, so the language of communication is important both for business, government, and for each individual person.
The English language is a major factor to be in a single coordinate system throughout the civilized world. This was announced on Wednesday, June 28, by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov in a telethon, responding to a bill on securing the status of English as the language of international communication.
Danilov emphasized that English will help Ukrainians to integrate into international society, and business to reach a new level.
“In 2019, I emphasized that English is the main language for us to move to the civilized world. Now, the President of our country has submitted such a bill,” he said.
He also emphasized that if 99% of Ukrainians spoke English, “they would read completely different literature.”
Recall that the President of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law “On the use of English in Ukraine”, which provides for the official consolidation of the status of English as one of the languages of international communication in Ukraine.
The Government of Ukraine developed a bill on the functioning of the English language as the language of international communication in August last year.
