British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that during the current counter-offensive operations, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have liberated more territory than the occupying Russian army captured during the winter.

    .

Wallace spoke about this during a speech in the British Parliament.

Ukraine has already recaptured about 300 square kilometers of its territories under Russian occupation. This is more than Russia captured during the entire time of its winter offensive, the British minister noted.

Wallace pointed out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to make gradual but steady progress, conducting offensive operations in three key areas in the east and south.

Recall, earlier The New York Times wrote that the US presidential administration unofficially says that the Ukrainian counteroffensive began slowly and its results in the first weeks are forced to “sober up”.
