To leave Melitopol towards the Crimea, the only checkpoint “Armyansk” works for cars. This was announced today, on June 25, on the air of the national telethon by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov.
However, you have to make a loop of tens of kilometers, there are huge queues at the checkpoint, and the road from Armyansk to Simferopol is superbad, Fedorov noted.
The mayor notes that the ways for the evacuation of the population from the temporarily occupied are constantly becoming smaller. In particular:
- yesterday, June 24, during the “coup” in Russia, the enemy immediately closed alternative evacuation routes to the Crimean ones – the checkpoint in Novoazovsk in the Donetsk region and the checkpoint in Kolotilovka on the border of the Sumy region and Russia, and also made it impossible to move through the Rostov region of Russia;
- on the border of Russia and Latvia, people have to go through enemy filtering for four days.
So far, the only possible exit route is the Armyansk checkpoint through the Crimea towards Georgia,” Fedorov noted and urged people to leave the occupation while it is still possible.
