Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Prague has already supplied Kyiv with weapons worth more than 140 million euros.
The Czech Republic intends to send additional weapons to Ukraine in the amount of 600-700 million kroons (about 24-28 million euros) in the near future. This was announced on the eve of Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova on the air of Czech television.
“It’s very important that help is continuous,” she stressed, noting that “the war won’t end just like that.”
The minister said that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Kyiv has already received weapons worth more than 3.5 billion crowns (more than 140 million euros).
Chernokhova confirmed that heavy weapons were also among the deliveries, but did not provide details “for security reasons.”
I expected to publish the list (of arms supplies – ed.) After the war, but I really don’t want to report this list to Putin today, the minister stressed.
According to media reports, the Czech Republic has already sent Mi-24 attack helicopters, T-72 tanks, BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles and Dana howitzers to Ukraine.
It was also reported that the Czech Republic was repairing the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Companies in the Czech defense industry carry out major repairs and commissioning of equipment after long-term storage.
