Participants in the thanksgiving march gathered in front of the Sejm, and then walked through Three Crosses Square, Novy Svet and Krakow Suburbs all the way to Castle Square.
“Friends are made in war. Polos are our true friends who fight us every day!” commented Andriy Deshchitsa, Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland explained that the purpose of the event was to thank the Poles “for their kindness and help, for the friendship and support shown to our people.”
The marchers carried large banners with the words: “Thank you”; several meters Ukrainian flag with the words “THEY US” and signatures; with the words “Sincere thanks”, gratitude for the volunteers and small paper flags of Poland and Ukraine.
