Among the guarantors, Kyiv sees UN Security Council member countries, including Russia, the United States, Great Britain, China, France, as well as Turkey, Germany, Canada, Italy, Poland and Israel.
Polish President Andrzej Duda has officially confirmed that the country is ready to become a guarantor of Ukraine’s security. On Sunday, May 29, he said in an interview with CNN.
He noted that for this it is only necessary that Kyiv officially make such a proposal, and establish the corresponding conditions of the peace agreement.
“Vladimir Zelensky asked me if I agree that Poland should be one of the security guarantee states of Ukraine. We believe that as neighbors we are only obligated. Therefore, if Ukraine offers us to be a guarantor of security and a guarantor of peace, when the war ends, and if the terms of the peace agreement are accepted – yes, Poland will participate in it, ”Duda said.
Duda added that for Poland, as a neighboring country, this issue is quite principled and desirable.
He also assured that Poland is investing heavily in strengthening its army and will soon become so strong militarily that the Russians will be “afraid to attack us.”
It is known that among the countries guaranteeing its security, Ukraine wants to see the countries permanent member of the UN Security Council (Britain, China, USA, France), as well as Germany, Turkey, Canada, Italy, Poland. , Israel and India.
Recall that the Republic of Poland is moving AHS Krab self-propelled artillery mounts to Ukraine.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda said Western politicians were mistaken if they thought they could convince Ukrainians to make concessions to Putin and relinquish part of Ukraine’s territory.
