Lithuania’s Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušryne Armonaitė has assured the Ukrainians of additional aid in the war with the Russian Federation.
The total military, humanitarian and financial aid from Lithuania to Ukraine has reached 1 billion euros, which is 1.42% of GDP for 2022. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania Aušryne Armonaitė.
Armonaite, along with United Kingdom Foreign Secretary James Cleverley and Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman, reportedly discussed the importance of the conference to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
“Participation in this conference allows not only to express a political position, but also to meet with business representatives and discuss the very specific needs of Ukraine and further reconstruction work,” said Armonaite .
He is convinced that without the participation of private enterprises and organizations, the continuation of Ukraine is almost impossible.
In his opinion, in order to restore a modern, sustainable and innovative Ukraine, it is important to focus on innovation and digitalization, for which Ukraine already has a solid foundation and ensures the proper functioning of technologies even in times of war.
Earlier it was reported that at least 33 thousand Ukrainian flags will be hung in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius in support of Ukraine’s membership in NATO.
